There will be a Stephen Ministry Gathering at the Procop's on Saturday, October 23, 2006.  Spouses are invited.  The time will be announced and directions given as the day draws closer.  Please bring a covered dish to pass or dessert.  Diane & Mike will provide the main dish and beverages.  Please let Diane know via e-mail or inperson if you plan to attend so they know how much of the main dish to prepare.  God bless you all for the outstanding job you are all doing!  Please continue to pray for our Ministry and that the Holy Spirit will move others to come forth and participate either as Stephen Ministers or care receiver.  Peace be with you!  Frank

Hello Everyone!

On May 16 at 6:30 PM, Diane Procop's Peer Supervision Group will meet and on May 23 at 7:00 PM John Humrichouser's will meet.  I will present a continuing education piece which is the first part of a three part series on "Ministering to Persons Needing Long Term Care".  Each section lasts approximately forty minutes.  The reading assignment is pages 557-578 of The Stephen Ministry Training Manual (Vol. 2).  This will serve as a prelude to Jennifer Lue's presentation on caring for persons with Altzheimer's and for those who are dying.  She will do her presentation at one of your meetings in the near future.  Jennifer works for the Visiting Nurses Association.  She has been involved with several Altzheimer's support groups and has experience working in Hospice.  See you there!  May God bless you all!

A big thank you to tall who helped with Lenten Suppers!

We had the best turn out for meals in recent history.  We raised over the six weeks nearly 1400 that will be use for camp & San Antonio (details to be announce once I have the figures)

You are doing a great job fund raising!

Hello Stephen Ministers,

Thank you for attending our first Supervisory session!  It was exciting to hear about all the great caring going on!  You are all doing a spectacular job!  I really look forward to future sessions and continuing education.   I may have spoken a little too soon about us not meeting as one group in the future.  I do hope soon to be having some outside folks in from another Stephen Ministry church to talk about their experiences and for you to ask questions.  I have updated the portable file in my office with the proper forms.  I have labeled the tabs "In-Depth Reg."(regular form) and "In-Depth Chr." (Christian form).  Have a great week and I look forward to communicating with you soon!
